The series, which bills itself as “providing informative seasonal news on different fresh produce, particularly fruits and vegetables harvested in Australia”, will be supported across TV, digital ,radio, in-store and in catalogues.
“We know that our customers are looking for ways to make better food choices and to have all the information and fresh food inspiration that they need,” said Woolworths director of Marketing, Andrew Hicks.
“Fresh Market Update aims to inform and educate customers so that they are aware of what’s in season and to also highlight the latest news from growers across the country.”
The first episode profiles Blueberry farmer Harry Sohi in North Boambee NSW, who said cooler weather had pushed yields later, but that availability would be up 50 per cent.
