Thousands support Cadbury product plea

Cadbury MarbleAs many as 31,000 Aussies are calling on Cadbury to re-release its Marble chocolate block, which was taken off shelves by Mondelez International in 2012 to make room for product innovation.

In a Facebook post with over 500 shares, one shopper has channelled the sentiment of many, calling on Cadbury to bring back the milk chocolate swirl product.

“Where’s the fluffy hazelnut praline encased in Dairy Milk and Dream, Cadbury? Why’s it been so long? You’re breaking my heart. I’m writing to implore you to bring it back, even just for a little a while. Let’s not kid ourselves, it should have never been taken away,” the user said.

It’s not the first time consumers have called on Cadbury to bring back the beloved product, but it doesn’t appear that Mondelez is budging on its view that the blocks shouldn’t be in production.

There’s even a dedicated Facebook page for the plight with more than 10,000 likes, which sent a letter to the prime minister about the matter in August to drum up awareness for its campaign. There may be more than 30,000 reasons to bring the product back into production.
