Cadbury Australia has expanded its product lineup by introducing the Cadbury Layered Fingers range.
The range includes three varieties: Chocolate, Caramel, and Cinnamon.
Each product features a crispy golden biscuit base, a layer of caramel, and a coating of milk chocolate.
The Caramel option uses a standard golden biscuit, the Chocolate variety contains a chocolate-flavoured biscuit, and the Cinnamon option features a cinnamon-flavoured biscuit.
Andra Dempster at Mondelēz International in Australia and New Zealand said that the product addition incorporates a caramel layer into the existing Cadbury Fingers framework.
“Whether it’s an afternoon treat for the family or the perfect baking decoration, Cadbury Layered Fingers bring everyone together and make everyday moments a little more special,” said Dempster.
The company is positioning the item as a ready-to-serve option as well as for baking uses, such as baking decorations.
The retail launch is being supported by promotional activities in July, including product giveaways in Sydney, conducted in partnership with the radio network Nova. In addition, promotional packages containing the biscuits and a themed card game were distributed to select consumer groups before the wider public release.
The 120gm packages carry an RRP of $5.50 and are distributed across Coles, Woolworths, and independent supermarkets.
In May, Glenorchy City Council granted development approval for a $150 million ‘Chocolate Experience’ at the Cadbury factory site in Claremont, Tasmania.
