Woolworths Rewards coming to iPhone

Woolworths RewardsWoolworths has announced yesterday customers can now use Woolworths Rewards loyalty card with their iPhone and Apple Watch through the Apple Wallet.

Starting last 1 November, Woolies customers will be able to store and use a digital version of their Woolworths Rewards card in Apple Wallet. They will be able to do a faster checkout with Apple Pay.

“We’re committed to creating shopping experiences that are personalised, seamless and convenient for our customers and are well positioned to take advantage of new trends in an evolving digital market,” said Woolworths director of Loyalty, Data and Digital Media, Ingrid Maes.

“We know our customers are now more connected than ever and we are already seeing a growth in payments via digital wallets across our stores. Having their Rewards card in Apple Wallet will also allow us to provide our customers with offers they want, when they want them.”

Customers can store the Woolworths Rewards card in the Apple Wallet app, then tap their iPhone or Apple Watch at checkout when prompted for their Rewards card.

“Our Woolworths Rewards customers already know they have access to great savings, Qantas Points, member-only deals and exclusive offers and we need to be even smarter to deliver those great offers to our customers in innovative ways. We look forward to further innovations in this space over the coming months,” Maes added.

Currently, Apple Pay works with iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and later on with Apple Watch.
