MOJO beverages has announced it’s pushing to move probiotic health drinks firmly into the aisles of mainstream grocery outlets in Australia, earning a new Global Food Safety Initiative-recognised certification for their production facility in Willunga, South Australia.
“The team at MOJO have always been committed to uncompromising standards on quality right through the production process and supply chain, and having this independently audited to a world-recognised standard is a positive affirmation that we’re doing the all the right things,” explained CEO Anthony Crabb.
“MOJO’s new SQF accreditation allows us to continue to expand on our work with major retailers such as Woolworths, ALDI, Foodland, IGA and Costco, which in turn will be crucial for future category and company growth. We’re proud to be the only Australian kombucha producer certified to this level, and look forward to the opportunities of reaching even more people with our powerful probiotic beverages.”
Safe Quality Food (SQF) is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognised certification programmes whose requirements provide a rigorous system to manage food safety risks and provide safe products throughout the supply chain.
“Undertaking the certification at this level provided us with the chance to streamline our risk and process management, promote confidence in food safety, quality and legality as well as to display our commitment to quality management & continual improvement,” Crabb said.
“It is proof that we have done our due diligence on every level of the production process and throughout the entire supply chain, making us a safer, more reliable and higher quality producer of probiotic beverages in Australia. In real-world terms, it means that MOJO products are at the peak of our category, and can be trusted equally by retailers and consumers to be of the highest quality.”
