Woolies’ new Metro store means more choice

PITT STWoolworths has opened a new Metro store on Pitt Street in Sydney, designed to meet the needs of shoppers looking for healthier options.

The new store offers more food choices for people on the go with everything from create-your-own poke bowls to curries and roasts.

Managing director Food Co, Fuel and Metro, Steve Greentree said, “Woolworths has been testing and learning to refine the Metro offer over the last five years. The launch of our Metro Pitt St store brings together what we’ve learnt and sets the benchmark for our Metro stores moving forward.”

“Woolworths Metro is about creating a supermarket experience that is locally relevant, no matter where it is. We are pleased with how customers have responded to our Metro offer and are always looking for ways that we can improve to make it an even better, more contemporary offering.”
