Vinomofo co-CEO steps down

vinomofoVinomofo co-founder Andre Eikmeier has stepped down from his position as co-chief executive, but will continue to serve as a director, shareholder and “brand champion”.

Co-founder Justin Dry has been the sole chief executive of the wine distribution platform since August.

“The business is in a great position and I’m super excited about where we can take it, both here and globally, in the years ahead,” said Dry.

“We’re all aligned about both brand and strategic direction. This change has been a very smooth transition; the team is feeling positive, the company is profitable, hitting targets and we’re excited for where we’re heading.”

Vinomofo said the change was a mutual decision, and both founders believe a single chief executive will be the right model for Vinomofo going forward. Brothers-in-law Eikmeier and Dry have been joint-CEOs since starting Vinomofo in a garage in Adelaide seven years ago. They have grown the brand across Australia and launched it in New Zealand and Singapore.

Earlier this year, the co-founders told Internet Retailing they had started making decisions around long-term growth rather than operating in survival mode like in the early days of the business. Eikmeier was confident the changes would power the company’s next phase of growth.
