Canberra Milk recalled over potential choking hazard

canberra milkCapitol Chilled Foods has announced a recall of its Canberra Milk Full Cream 300ml, 500ml and 1L due to a potential choking hazard.

The milk has been recalled from grocery stores, independent stores, petrol stations, schools, motels and hospitals in NSW and ACT.

A packaging fault has caused a faulty seal on some of the black caps, meaning that potential broken parts may be found in the milk. and may have the potential to be a choking hazard if ingested.

The NSW Foods Authority is advising people not to consume the product but to dispose of it and contact the Canberra Milk Consumer Enquiry Centre to arrange a full refund.

The milk affected is:

  • Canberra Milk Full Cream 300ml and 500ml, plastic bottle, Use By 5/11/2018, 8/11/2018, 12/11/2018, 15/11/2018
  • Canberra Milk Full Cream 1L, plastic bottle, Use By 05/11/2018, 06/11/2018, 08/11/2018, 09/11/2018, 13/11/2018, 15/11/2018.
