Parilla Fresh is recalling various alfalfa sprout products due to potential microbial contamination.
The products are sold through Woolworths and Coles in NSW, ACT, Queensland, Victoria SA, and NT, and independent grocers, including IGA in NSW, Harris Farm in NSW, ACT, and Victoria, and the Sydney and Melbourne Markets.
The products are:
- Aussie Sprouts Alfalfa Sprouts 125g.
- Hugo’s Alfalfa Onion & Garlic Sprouts 125g.
- Hugo’s Alfalfa Radish Sprouts 125g.
- Hugo’s Alfalfa & Onion Sprouts 125g.
- Hugo’s Salad Sprouts 125g.
- Hugo’s Alfalfa & Broccoli Sprouts 125g.
- Hugo’s Trio Sprouts Selection 125g.
According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand, the products may be contaminated with Salmonella, that may cause illness if consumed.
Consumers have been advised to return packages to the place of purchase for a refund.
