Apricot Kernels recalled over biotoxin contamination

Raw Apricot KernelTamex Import Export has recalled its Raw Apricot Kernel from supermarkets due to biotoxin (hydrocyanic acid) contamination.

Raw Apricot Kernels, 400g, in plastic bag with Best Before of 27 03 2019 have been pulled from Fred’s one stop, Nevros Supermarket, Middle East Supermarket, BM Fruit Market and Fairfield Forum Market in NSW.

Food products containing hydrocyanic acid may cause illness if consumed.  The NSW Food Authority advised consumers not to eat the product. For consumers concerned about their health, they should seek medical advice and return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
