Mount Franklin calls in bin chickens to promote recycled plastic message

Coca-Cola Amatil’s bottled water brand Mount Franklin is using the humbe Ibis to spread awareness of its sustainable packaging in new campaign, ‘Sip in the Right Direction’.

The TVC ‘Life Reincarnated’ is voiced by comedian Dave Hughes and urges Australians to recycle Mount Franklin bottles.

A new label design has been created for Mount Franklin’s 600ml water bottle as part of the campaign to let consumers know that the bottles are made from 100 per cent recycled plastic and to encourage the bottle to be recycled.

“We’ve heard the community message loud and clear that packaging waste is unacceptable. Today all our Mount Franklin bottles for Still and Lightly Sparkling (1 litre and less) are made from 100 per cent recycled plastic and are 100 per cent recyclable. On the 600 ml still spring Mount Franklin bottle we have a new message encouraging Australians to recycle in the right way so they can be made into bottles again,” Peter West, managing director of Australian Beverages at CCA, said.

Amatil said that now 7 out of 10 plastic bottles in the country are made from recycled plastics. They have also gotten rid of plastic straws and light-weighted packaging.
