Whittaker’s and boutique brewery Garage Project create chocolate beer

Wellington, New Zealand, brewery Garage Project has teamed with confectionery company Whittaker’s to launch a chocolate beer range.

The limited-edition lineup, which will be sold in Australia and New Zealand, consists of two flavours – White chocolate beer with golden raspberry and lemon; and Dark chocolate beer with espresso, hazelnut and orange.

“Like us, Garage Project loves to push the boundaries of our craft while maintaining our dedication to quality,” said Holly Whittaker, co-COO at Whittaker’s. “We have a shared passion for quality, innovation and artisan craftsmanship, and these delicious new chocolate beers are a testament to that passion, with some flavour notes that make these extra-special.”

The chocolate beer range has just gone on sale in New Zealand and will land in Australia next month. The launch is the second collaboration of Whittaker’s and Garage Project. In 2018, the two brands created a chocolate beer, which sold out in record time.

“Chocolate beer lovers who are keen to try these new products should get in quick,” said Jos Ruffell, co-founder of Garage Project.

Beside Garage Project’s venues and online store, the beers will be sold in New World supermarkets, selected Countdown stores and other retail outlets.
