Dairy Farmers launches high protein milk range

Bega Group-owned brand Dairy Farmers is set to launch its High Protein Milk, targeting rising consumer interest in the natural nutritional benefits of dairy.

The product contains 18 grams of dairy protein per 300ml serve, which Dairy Farmers says is the highest protein content of any dairy milk currently available in Australia. It matches the protein levels in Bega’s existing The Complete Dairy 1L range, while retaining the creamy taste of traditional full-cream milk.

“Dairy Farmers High Protein milk is also high in calcium, so as part of a balanced diet, it’s a great option not just for keeping bones strong, but also for maintaining muscle, and helping with recovery after exercise through the benefits of protein,” said Katrina Strazdins, group manager of nutrition at Bega Group.

The launch comes as demand for high-protein foods continues to rise. Bega Group reports a 23 per cent year-on-year increase in the high-protein category, driven by consumers seeking more functional benefits from everyday foods.

“With dairy milk back in growth, it’s the perfect time for consumers to tap into its potential as a convenient and natural source of high-quality protein,” added Anjali De Silva, marketing manager of white milk at Bega Group.

Dairy Farmers High Protein Milk (2L) will be available from July 14 in Coles stores across NSW, Victoria, and SA.
