London Dry gin brand Tanqueray has launched alcohol-free alternative ‘Tanqueray 0.0%’ in Europe, promising “All The Taste, Zero Alcohol”.
Created by distilling the same botanicals used in the alcohol version, Tanqueray 0.0% is also low in calories. It will join Tanqueray’s existing limited-edition portfolio.
“Our expert innovation team has combined years of expertise and historic Gin distilling knowledge to create a credible alcohol-free experience,” said Terry Fraser, master distiller at Tanqueray. “We know that Tanqueray 0.0% is an experience that our fans will not want to miss.”
According to the company, alcohol-free and low-alcohol options are expected to account for 23 per cent of growth in the adult drinks market during the next three years.
The zero-alcohol gin will be available in Spain and the UK next month with an RRP of US$22.66 per 700ml bottle.
Tanqueray is not a sole player in the alcohol-free gin sector. Last December, Johnnie Walker owner Diageo introduced an alcohol-free variant of Gordon’s gin, Gordon’s 0.0%.
