New Zealand-based alcohol-free drinks company Free AF has entered the UK market, with its range of ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails now available nationwide in Morrisons stores and online.
The launch includes Apero Spritz and Spiced Rum & Ginger flavours in stores, with a Margarita flavour available online via Amazon and the brand’s website.
Each 250ml can is priced at £2.50 (A$5) and contains Afterglow, a blend of New Zealand botanicals that mimics the warming sensation of alcohol without any alcohol content.
Founded by Lisa King, Free AF is already sold in New Zealand and the US. Its products have also been stocked in 4000 stores across Target, Walmart and Sprouts in the US.
“It’s certainly not easy to scale a business during these difficult times, so entering the UK market is a huge milestone for us,” said King.
“Every stage of growth has been shaped by our customers here at home. Their feedback influenced everything – from flavour to purpose – and that’s what’s enabled us to scale globally.”
The brand has appeared at high-profile events, including Coachella, New York Fashion Week, and NZ Fashion Week. Last month, Free AF also announced a three-year partnership with The Nelson Mandela Foundation, pledging a portion of its global sales to the non-profit.
