Queensland-based Nerada Tea is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a brand new look headed to shelves in supermarkets this month.
The first packaging for Nerada black tea focused on the Australian-made message with a koala taking centre stage. Since then, the design has evolved, using vibrant colours of green and yellow, with the plantation taking pride of place as the “heart and home” of Nerada Tea.
The new logo, redesigned by Sydney packaging design house Hulsbosch, has evolved to represent the tea leaves better, namely the top two leaves and a bud used in Australian tea production.
According to Nerada, avid tea drinkers can rest assured that the same taste remains despite the new packaging look.
“We’ve been flying the flag for home-grown Australian tea since the first Nerada Tea branded product was yielded from our plantation in 1971, and our packaging has reflected both the evolution of our brand and the changing styles and trends of the decades,” said Andrew Weavers, MD, Nerada Tea.
The new design will roll out across Nerada’s range of Organic tea and herbal infusion products, including the recently launched Echinacea & Lemon and Rooibos varieties as well as Chamomile, Peppermint, Lemon & Ginger, Chai, Greentea, Hibiscus and Lemongrass, Rooibos & Vanilla and Rosehip, Lemongrass & Ginger.
Nerada Tea is available at Coles, Woolworths, and Independent Supermarkets.
