Peters launches plant-based version of its Drumstick

(Source: supplied )

Peters has stepped into the plant-based category with a new version of its popular Drumstick frozen ice-cream cone in Classic Vanilla.

According to the company, the plant-based version keeps the original flavour of the traditional Drumstick vanilla version, topped with chocolate and peanuts, covered in a wafer cone and with a chocolate tip.

The new Drumstick is described as a summer treat for vegans, vegetarians, those observing a dairy-free diet, people seeking more plant-based food options or who just want to try out plant-based ice cream.

“As more people move towards a plant-based diet/lifestyle, it is important that we create something that everyone can enjoy without compromising on taste or texture,” said Tara Cook, Drumstick senior brand manager.

“To achieve this, our tastemakers have been hard at work to ensure the new Drumstick Plant Based Classic Vanilla delivers on that iconic Drumstick texture and flavour that they know and love.

“Ice-cream is a summer staple and something all Aussies look forward to on a hot summer’s day, so it was important for us to create something that everyone can enjoy and that genuinely tastes great.”

The Drumstick Plant Based Classic Vanilla is sold through all major supermarkets across the country.
