Why Meat Co downsizes the potato cake for health-conscious partygoers

Melbourne startup The Why Meat Co has launched two new plant-based potato cake snacks across Coles stores nationally.

The brand has “downsized” the crispy golden potato cakes into miniature morsels adding a twist to the popular Aussie childhood snacks. It comes in two flavours: Original and Salt & Vinegar, both in 400g packs.

Founded in 2019 by husband and wife Ashley and Emma White, The Why Meat Co sells a range of plant-based products using natural flavours with minimal ingredients.

The potatoes used in the products are harvested from Australian farms and are vegan for consumption.
