Filipino rum brand, Tanduay, is set to debut in Australia in partnership with spirits distributor Jonathan Paige International Group (JPI).
With more than 160 years of history, Tanduay is one of the Philippines’ major distillery brands. It has been named Brand of the Year by the London-based World Branding Awards seven years in a row.
Founded in 1854, the brand is known for its rum sourced from sugarcane. Besides rum, Tanduay Distillers also produces gin, vodka, brandy, and whiskey.
Marc Ngo, Tanduay’s international business development manager and senior brand manager, said the launch is part of Tanduay’s global growth strategy and JPI is a suitable partner to help boost the brand’s profile in Australia.
Tanduay started its international expansion a few years ago and has already forayed into the US and Europe.
The company’s products will be sold in Australia via the Jonathan Paige International website.
