Dan Murphy’s is set to open four new stores, bringing its total number of stores in the country to 272.
Three large-format stores are scheduled to open in time for Christmas trading, while the fourth one will launch in Woolooware, Sydney in January.
Additionally, six stores have been renewed over the past month in Albury, Ballina, Shepparton, Erina, Noarlunga, and Burwood. These locations are now offering new features including electronic shelf labels, enhanced pick-up options and internal and external refreshes.
Agi Pfeiffer-Smith, MD of Dan Murphy’s, said the store openings and renewals reflect the brand’s commitment to big-box retailing and expanding brand presence.
“Dan Murphy’s success is built on large format stores, and we continue to make targeted investments to tap into growing markets in strong population growth corridors,” Pfeiffer-Smith said.
The four new stores are expected to add more than 3000sqm of retail space to the network by next year, bringing the total number of stores opened this year to eight and 15 store renewals.
“Every year, we aim to expand our network by about this number of new stores, and 2024 will be no different. We’ve just announced we plan to open a Dan Murphy’s at Perth Airport, which promises to be a fantastic new store servicing a wide range of locals and tourists alike,” Pfeiffer-Smith added.
“We are right in the midst of our busiest trading period, and with 5.3 million MyDan’s members, I would like to thank people right across the country who trust Dan Murphy’s to deliver the best drinks and value for their festive social occasions with family, friends, and loved ones,” she concluded.
