Edenvale takes global honours for low- and no-alcohol wine

Alcohol-removed wine brand Edenvale has won a global award for its Premium Reserve Sparkling Shiraz NV at this year’s International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).

Edenvale is bringing home its second prize in less than a year, the “Low & No Wine Trophy 2024,” after winning “Best Wine” in the 2024 World Alcohol Free Awards.

“Intense aromas of luscious red berries and vanilla lead the way with an underlying note of liquorice and coffee, followed by a luxurious palate bursting with luscious dark fruits, with a touch of spice and velvety texture,” IWSC judges explained on Edenvale’s success.

Edenvale’s Premium Reserve Sparkling Shiraz is a de-alcoholised wine that has less than 0.5 per cent alcohol by volume.

The drink offers a nose of blackberries and currants, enhanced by oak and smokey spice, resulting in dark fruit tastes and chocolate overtones, according to the brand.

“Our commitment to innovation and exceptional quality continues to drive us, as we strive to further elevate the alcohol-removed category and set new standards in the industry. The award is a true testament to the team’s hard work and passion,” said Edenvale’s founder, Michael Bright.
