Heavy-duty hand-cleaning soap Solvol is making a comeback after being discontinued two years ago.

Initially launched in 1915, Solvol is known for its gritty texture and ability to remove stubborn substances. The soap slowly disappeared from shelves in 2020 and was removed from WD-40’s product lineup in 2022 due to manufacturing challenges.

The new formula combines natural essential oils with fine pumice granules, effectively eliminating dirt, grease, oil, paint, ink, and solvents while keeping hands soft and moisturised.

Additionally, the soap is free from GMOs, parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), phthalates, and microplastics.

“For over a century, Solvol has been synonymous with quality and effectiveness for Australians who need a hand cleaner that can tackle even the grimiest jobs,” said Rosean Murphy, product manager for Solvol.

“Whether you’re a tradesperson, gardener, DIY enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys getting their hands dirty, Solvol is the trusted ally that ensures your hands are left clean.”

Solvol Heavy-Duty Hand Cleaner (100g) is available for an RRP of $7 at Bunnings Warehouse, Mitre 10, The Reject Shop, and Total Tools nationwide.
