Pure Dairy has appointed dairy and food-processing veteran Andrew Wellington as its new chief commercial officer.

According to Pure Dairy, Andrew has a lifelong connection to the dairy business in Australia and New Zealand and brings a “wealth of knowledge and experience”, particularly in manufacturing design and supply chain optimisation.

He used to work as the GM of operations, prior to which he was technical director at Thermaflo NZ, where he focused on plant design. Wellington most recently served as chief operating officer of Union Dairy Company.

“I’m thrilled to have joined Pure Dairy as chief commercial officer during such a pivotal moment,” Wellington wrote on his official account.

“With a lifelong connection to the dairy industry, I’m eager to contribute to this innovative organisation, focusing on commercial pace, manufacturing design and supply chain optimisation to deliver world-class results.”

Pure Dairy is soon to open its $100 million Victorian plant, which will have “state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment not seen anywhere else in this part of the world”.
