Mark Turnbull will step down as a director of Foley Wines on February 17 and as CEO on April 30.

Turnbull joined Foley Family Wines NZ in April 2012.

Foley Family Wines NZ merged with The New Zealand Wine Company and became Foley Wines, which Turnbull led as CEO and a director since September 2012.

“The wine industry is far more complicated than it seems, foremost you are a farmer which creates challenges in itself,” said Turnbull.

“We have a small but hugely talented team, many have been with me for the journey from the start and something I will always be proud of.”

Turnbull added that Foley Wines is “well placed for the future” with its financial results, scheduled to be released in the next few weeks, to show a growth of 35 per cent in export sales.
