Foodstuffs North Island has opened a giant Pak’nSave in Highland Park in East Auckland, investing A$90 million in the local community.
Featuring wider aisles, the nearly 7000sqm store houses an extensive product range with updated innovations in supermarket operation and customer experience, including team member-operated and customer self-scan checkouts.
“As New Zealand’s only locally owned major grocery retailer, we’re committed to staying match-fit, making the investments needed to compete at scale, and ensuring Kiwis always have access to world-class supermarkets like this one,” said Chris Quin, Foodstuffs North Island’s CEO.
Due to its launch, Highland Park Pak’nSave offers more grocery choices from diverse food retailers and provides 250 new jobs locally.
“We’ve built a fantastic team that’s ready to deliver on our promise of New Zealand’s lowest grocery prices,” said Diana Brown, the owner-operator of the new store.
