New Zealand-based Scapegrace Distilling Co has launched ThunderDonk, a flavoured whisky that marks the brand’s debut in the liquor segment.
Produced at the company’s newly opened distillery in Central Otago, ThunderDonk is an aged single-malt whisky with flavours such as Spiced Maple and Salted Caramel.
Scapegrace co-founder Daniel McLaughlin said the range is tailored for consumers seeking a more expressive whisky experience.
ThunderDonk can be served neat, chilled as a shot, or mixed into cocktails.
“This is a drink that’s made to share and unite, and we wanted a name which encapsulated that,” McLaughlin said. “We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we’re serious about what’s in the bottle – especially when it comes to our flavour profiles.”
“This is a product that really stands out, whether on the backbar or your shelf at home,” McLaughlin added. “The flavours have been meticulously developed, and it’s the perfect drink to enjoy with friends.”
ThunderDonk is available nationwide through major liquor retailers and select on-premise venues, with an RRP of $59.99.
