Australia’s largest independent brewery, Coopers Brewery, has launched a 2025 edition of the Coopers Vintage Ale to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the beer’s release.

The new edition features two New Zealand hop varieties: The peacharine hops, which delivers heady stone fruit aromas, and the Southern Cross hops, which add zesty lemon and spicy notes.

“Vintage Ale is perfect to drink upon purchase, or can be cellared to allow the hop characters to soften and the malty characters to develop over time,” said Dr Tim Cooper, Coopers’ chief brewer and fifth-generation family member.

“And with Father’s Day approaching, this great-tasting ale makes for the perfect gift for Dad.”

Consumers can expect flavours of sweet fruit, peach, citrus, pine and spice to come through in the new ale, balanced out by a malt sweetness and finishing with a firm bitter taste.

Coopers has teamed up with Australian swimming champion Kyle Chalmers OAM to promote the 2025 edition of the Vintage Ale through a video campaign reflecting his own “vintage performance” at the 2016 Olympics.
