McCain has announced the immediate recall of its Pizza Pockets Cheese & Bacon 400g due to the presence of foreign materials (plastic, metal).
The product has been available for sale at Woolworths, Coles, and independent retailers, including IGA, nationally and online.
Affected products have batch codes of 1005481714, and best before dates marked October 2026 289, October 2026 290, or October 2026 291.
According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand, food products containing plastic and/or metal could cause illness and injury if consumed.
Consumers have been advised to return packages to the place of purchase for a refund.
McCain is working closely with food safety authorities and retailers to ensure the recall is carried out quickly and thoroughly.
