Japanese pet food brand Inaba has launched a cat treat range, Inaba Churu, marking the brand’s expansion in the Australian market.
Made from fresh ingredients of chicken and seafood without preservatives, Inaba Churu treats offer a high moisture content, soft or chewy texture and are low in calories.
“For far too long, the cat treat category has lacked innovation and the right products to unlock the true growth potential of cat treating,” said Adam Heelis, country manager of Inaba Australia.
The Churu treat range, including Puree, Bites, Stew, and Sprinkles flavours, will be available from September at Woolworths and Coles supermarkets nationwide as well as online.
Founded in 1989, the Inaba brand is rooted in Yoshizo Inaba’s family tradition of seafood harvesting, and its cat food lineup has been available in the US since 2016.
Last year, Pet food brand Dine launched sustainable tuna for cats.
