Australian prebiotic beverage brand Blume has rolled out its $3 gut-friendly drinks at Woolworths stores nationwide, marketed as a lower-sugar, high-fibre alternative to traditional soft drinks.
The range features three flavours – Raspberry Lime, Mango, and Lemon Yuzu Ginger – each containing 6g of plant-based fibre, which the brand says makes up more than 20 per cent of an adult’s daily fibre needs. The drinks also have about 90 per cent less sugar than conventional soft drinks.
Founded by Rachel Castelino, Blume was created in response to Australia’s widespread fibre deficiency, with around 72 per cent of Australians falling short of the recommended daily intake.
“Our expansion into Woolworths will help fuel our mission of closing Australia’s fibre deficiency gap and reducing the amount of sugar in our diet,” said Castelino.
“We’re in a cost-of-living crisis, and we wanted to create something that genuinely makes people feel good, in their gut and in their wallet.”
Blume’s drinks aim to increase fibre intake and cut sugar consumption, positioning the brand between health-focused and affordable beverage options.
