Suntory Oceania taps senior Woolworths exec to head up marketing team

Suntory Oceania has appointed Bríd Drohan-Stewart as CMO of its beverage and food division, effective April.

With over 25 years of experience, Drohan-Stewart has worked for major companies, including Woolworths Group, McDonald’s, and The Coca-Cola Company.

During her five-year tenure at Woolworths, she transitioned the Countdown brand to Woolworths in New Zealand and launched the Everyday rewards loyalty program there.

Her broad experience in the beverage industry included leading significant campaigns for The Coca-Cola Company in the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand.

In her new role at the Sydney headquarters, Drohan-Stewart will join the Oceania executive leadership team to oversee the group’s non-alcohol brands, such as V Energy, Suntory Boss Coffee, and Maximus.

“As we pioneer new beverage experiences, inspired by innovation and craftsmanship, Bríd will play a critical role in leading a new era for our portfolio in Australia and New Zealand,” said Dai Minato, Suntory Oceania’s CEO.
