Singapore-based snack brand Hey! Chips has expanded its retail presence following the launch of a new legume-based product line, Superbeans.
Developed by co-founders ‘Emily and Hayden’, the product line was produced in a home kitchen environment using whole edamame, chickpeas, and hand-mixed herbs as an alternative to commercial flavourings and artificial isolates.
The product line was launched in response to consumer demand for dietary protein and fibre options that avoid synthetic additives.
The company says the manufacturing process uses vacuum technology to achieve a crisp texture, minimise nutrient loss and reduce oxidation during production.
“Since the start of Hey! Chips, we have been pushing for a better way of eating by creating cleaner options to combat ultra-processed foods,” said the co-founders.
