Chalk Hill Wines has appointed former Top Shelf boss Trent Fraser as its new CEO.
With more than two decades of industry experience, Fraser most recently spent four years at Top Shelf International, including two years as CEO. Before moving to Australia in 2021, he spent nearly 12 years at Moët Hennessy, where he was CEO of Volcan De Mi Tierra Tequila and VP of Dom Pérignon.
In his new role, Fraser will work closely with Chalk Hill’s MD Tom Harvey as the company focuses on bringing together wine, food, events, culture and experience both in McLaren Vale and nationally.
“Trent brings a rare combination of international wine and luxury brand experience, commercial leadership and a genuine passion for South Australian wine,” said Harvey.
“Despite the current headwinds, we are excited about the future and creating greater enthusiasm, relevance and connection with our wines,” he added.
Chalk Hill Wines is a family-owned winery dedicated to producing small-batch, handcrafted wines from six estate vineyards since 1964. Its modern cellar door officially opened in 2020, offering a range of tasting experiences.
Chalk Hill’s portfolio includes an estate range, spanning classic varieties from owned and sourced McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills vineyards; Small Batch Release, offering smaller ferments and alternative varietals; and Alpha Crucis, which is positioned as a more premium label.
