Foodstuffs South Island has appointed Tonille Crombie as its new GM of supply chain, effective February 1.
Since 2024, Crombie has held the position of the group GM of procurement and supply chain at Talley’s Group.
Her prior executive experience includes three years as the CEO of Hall’s Cold Chain Logistics, as well as senior leadership roles at Open Country Dairy, Amcor, and Fonterra.
In her new role, Crombie will oversee supply chain operations across the co-operative’s network of family-owned supermarkets throughout the South Island.
Mary Devine, CEO of Foodstuffs South Island, said Crombie’s supply-chain management expertise and her leadership experience in complex operational environments will benefit the co-operative’s ongoing distribution needs.
“Our supply chain plays a critical role in keeping the South supplied with food and products people rely on. Tonille’s operational expertise, strategic thinking and commitment to teamwork make her an excellent addition to our leadership team,” said Devine.
“Foodstuffs South Island has a strong reputation for supporting its family-owned stores, customers and communities. The opportunity to join a co-operative with such strong local roots was incredibly appealing,” said Crombie.
