Australian family business Springhill Farm has launched its Fruit Bar in cocoa flavour at Woolworths, offering a nutritious snack option for children.
Co-developed with a dietitian and made at the company’s Ballarat facility, the gluten-free snack features a soft texture with a filled cocoa centre.
The formulation has eight ingredients, including dates, rice protein, tapioca fibre, and pumpkin seed powder.
“As a mum of four, I was tired of picking up snacks with long ingredient lists and very little nutrition to show for it,” said Fiona Whatley, co-owner of Springhill Farm.
“I wanted a snack that tastes like a treat but provides nutrition for kids. Parents are juggling so much right now. In a world of information overload, if we make choosing a snack easier and tick one job off their to-do list, that’s a big deal,” said Whatley.
The product is available nationally in the health food aisle at Woolworths for an RRP of $7.50 for a 128g pack of four.
