Collins Foods has appointed CEO, Graham Maxwell, as MD and elected Robert Kaye as non-executive chairman, effective immediately.

Russell Tate, who has led the Collins Foods’ board as chairman since the company’s listing on the ASX in August 2011, will step down as chairman.

Tate will remain as an independent non-executive director of the company and a member of the board’s audit and risk committee and remuneration and nomination committee.

Kaye said he was honoured to have been appointed chairman and was looking forward to working with the board and management team to drive continued growth in the business.

“Russell has successfully led the board and company since its listing three and a half years ago. Over this period, Collins Foods has navigated its way through a challenging and difficult operating period, growth through acquisition, and returned to organic growth. We are delighted Russell will stay on the board given his extensive experience,” Kaye said.

Collins Foods operates 172 KFC stores and 26 company-owned Sizzler restaurants in Australia. Collins Foods also owns a 50 per cent stake of Snag Stand which has six company-owned outlets and one franchised store.
