Nutrano CEO Steven Chaur steps down

Peter McGregor, Director, Interim MD and CEO, NutranoAustralian fruit and veg producer, Nutrano, have announced today that managing director and CEO Steven Chaur has filed his resignation effective immediately.

Nutrano said Chaur will be leaving to pursue other interests outside of the company. Existing board member, Peter McGregor, was appointed to the interim position.

“We continue to be very excited about the consolidation and growth in the agricultural sector. While Nutrano is a relatively young company, the businesses acquired have long established trading histories with respected management teams and employees. We are very pleased to be able to leverage the industry experience of both George Haggar and Peter Aubort as we continue to grow Nutrano,” said McGregor.

Chaur has led Nutrano through a transition to a public company. In June 2017, the board decided not to proceed with the Initial Public Offering of the company and instead focus management’s efforts on driving the company’s growth strategies and integration program.

Moreover, Nutrano Produce Group also said George Haggar and Peter Aubort will be joining a new board advisory committee. Haggar worked previously for Murray River Organics, Costa Group and Visy. Aubort was with Seven Fields and Abbotsleigh businesses as an independent board member.
