Woolworths welcomes We Are Cheeky range

OzHarvest WoolworthsWe Are Cheeky launches its range of over 60 products in Woolworths stores across Australia today.

The kitchen and homewares brand is partnering with OzHarvest to help rescue food and donate meals to Australians in need.

We Are Cheeky will donate 10 cents from every product purchased to OzHarvest, with the goal of generating over 15,000 meals within the first month.

The product range includes affordable ceramics, bakeware, glassware and utensils in playful designs and quotes.

The brand have had much success in the US, where it originated in November 2014 as ‘Cheeky’. Since its US launch, Cheeky has helped generate over 15 million donated meals through its partnership with Feeding America and No Kid Hungry.

We Are Cheeky co-founder and Australia CEO, Lance Kalish said “Following the support we received from our customers in the US, we wanted to bring the brand back home to Australia in order to help the 3.6 million Australians who receive food relief every year whilst tapping into our distinct Aussie culture and sense of humour. This is reflected throughout the Australian range. Aussies love homewares, are passionate about giving back, and are renowned for our cheeky sense of humour. We Are Cheeky ticks all of these boxes, and we can’t wait to see how Aussies respond to the brand.”

Speaking about the brand partnership, OzHarvest founder, Ronni Kahn said, “We are thrilled to partner with We Are Cheeky – a brand that shares our passion and drive for helping others, and like us, appreciates the value of having fun while doing it.”

We Are Cheeky is also passionate about helping to reduce plastic waste, with minimal packaging being used across the entire range and no product packaged entirely in plastic. Instead, cardboard boxes or recyclable cardboard trays are used and labelled with small paper stickers or tags.

You can join the brand in its quest to help those in need by purchasing from its range of kitchen and homewares, available exclusively from Woolworths in-store and online from today.
