Convenience chain 7-Eleven is busy celebrating its annual 7-Eleven Day in Australia with customers reaping the rewards.
The convenience stores will give away about 300,000 free large Slurpees and regular, Iced Coffees or Coffee Melts when customers purchase other products in-store today.
7-Eleven CEO, Angus McKay said that 7-Eleven Day is one of the most anticipated days of the year for its customers and employees.
“7-Eleven Day is a celebration of our amazing customers and team members. It’s a chance for us to treat our customers, and to have some fun celebrating in-store,” said McKay.
The company said in a statement that customers can also win $711 every hour for 24 hours today, by sharing celebratory photos on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #7ElevenDay. More than 200 7-Eleven office-based team members will be there to support the event, engaging with customers and store teams, to ensure the coffee machines are fully stocked and the Slurpees are flowing.
“We’re looking forward to seeing some fun photos and enjoying some great moments with our customers on the day. My team are going to be out with our store teams for what will be a really enjoyable but busy day,” added McKay.
