Click Frenzy extends sale by extra hour after site crash

online, shopping, e-commerce, keyboardAustralia’s online mega-sale site Click Frenzy has announced it will extend its annual sales event by an extra hour this evening after a site crash delayed the sale yesterday.

Click Frenzy 2018 was due to start at 7pm but as customers flocked to the site one of the new features of the site “encountered difficulties coping with the load” between 6.30pm and 7pm.

As a result many customers experienced an outage for up to 30 minutes between 6.35pm and 7.05pm before full service was restored and running smoothly.

A spokesperson for Click Frenzy said: “Click Frenzy is extending the sale for an extra hour this evening, and some of the Go Wild deals that were held back due to the technical difficulties will be run tonight in prime time between 7pm and 8pm.”

“Click Frenzy regrets any frustration caused during the build-up last night, but we are please it was resolved quickly and shoppers were able to rejoin the Frenzy shortly after the scheduled launch time.”

The website offers deals from companies such as Woolworths, Petstock, Nescafé, Catch and more.
