Australian company Patties Foods has rolled a new range of empanadas. It has two new empanada flavours such as Chicken, Cheese, Capsicum and Paprika and Sweet Potato and Cashew.
The Sweet Potato and Cashew Empanada is a new vegetarian range adding to Patties’ vegetarian finger foods for consumers who are looking for a plant-based option.
The pastries are filled with locally-sourced ingredients such as Australian chicken, sweet potato and capsicum with flavours inspired from the Mediterranean.
“As Australian palettes evolve, we continue to innovate at Patties to bring new exciting flavours inspired by food trends from around the world,” said Anand Surujpal, general manager of Marketing and Innovation at Patties Food.
The new Patties Empanadas finger foods can be paired with dips such as hummus, honey and dukkha sauce and tomato avocado salsa on the side.
Patties Chicken, Cheese, Capsicum and Paprika Empanadas and Patties Sweet Potato and Cashew Empanadas are sold at RRP A$8 at Woolworths supermarkets. They will be available at local independent supermarkets from April 2019.
