Food Forever announces new retail brand, Rå

Food Forever has launched its new retail brand
Rå, which offers frozen fruits in reusable and recyclable trays.

Rå’s frozen blueberries, raspberries and mango chunks are certified as sustainably-grown by the globally-recognised Rainforest Alliance, and
will be sold in Australia and New Zealand. The packaging features a first-to-market rigid tub that can be re-used and recycled.

Rå announced Monde Nissin and Royal Foods as the exclusive distributor to the independent retail market from September 2019.

“Rå is our response to the pressing need for a trustworthy and affordable frozen fruit product that is good for our health and wellbeing and the future of our planet. We believe that sustainably-grown produce is the answer,” said Rå in a statement.

“Sustainability certification takes a holistic approach and considers people, the planet, and their prosperity. Our farmers have met stringent standards for water and soil management to ensure land fertility and conservation of biodiversity for future generations. Meanwhile, our farmers also provide fair and safe conditions to all of their employees and contribute towards improved livelihoods for their local communities,” added Rå.

Shane Bukovinsky and Henriette de Koning, founders of Food Forever and Natural Ingredients have been supplying the Australian and New Zealand markets with frozen fruits and vegetables worldwide for over 20 years.
