KitKat releases Australian dark chocolate flavours

Image of chocolates

Chocolate brand KitKat has rolled out two new dark chocolate products featuring local flavours: KitKat Dark Tasmanian Mint and KitKat Dark Southern Australian Orange.

KitKat Dark Tasmanian Mint is made with mint chocolate and oil from mint harvested in Tasmania, while KitKat Dark Southern Australian Orange uses orange chocolate with oil from blood oranges found in South Australian Riverland and Sunraysia.

“Dark chocolate is synonymous with moments of everyday indulgence, and as Aussies increasingly spend more time at home, we’re seeing that they want to elevate their evenings with moments of decadence,” said Nestle head of marketing confectionery Joyce Tan.

“Using quality ingredients from our own backyard, the new flavours add intrigue to our well-loved dark chocolate range as an indulgent and stimulating chocolate treat.”

KitKat Dark Tasmanian Mint and KitKat Dark Southern Australian Orange in 170g blocks are sold from supermarkets for RRP $5.
