Aussie consumers can now make healthier pancakes as Lakanto launches a Low Carb Protein Pancake Mix using Monkfruit Sweetener.
Using monk fruit extract for sweetness, the range is keto-friendly, dairy-free, low carb and non-GMO. Using by simply adding water and 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil, Monkfruit sweetened pancakes contain 8g of protein and 3.3 carbs per serve.
Lakanto said that it decided to launch the pancake mix because the average Australian consumes double the recommended daily intake of sugar. The brand wants to help Aussies adopt healthier lifestyles through its daily-use product.

“Eating well shouldn’t be time consuming, tasteless or lacking in sweet treats, it’s about making simple everyday choices so you can still celebrate all of the foods you love,” said Luke Hines, TV Host, cookbook author, functional nutritionist, trainer and Lakanto ambassador. “Choosing options that cut the carbs, without adding any nasties will please your palate without packing on the pounds.”
According to the brand, the pancake tastes even better with Lakanto’s Monkfruit Maple Flavoured Syrup. Both the pancake mix and the syrup are available nationwide in Woolworths, health food stores and via the company’s website with the following RRPs of $8 for a 200gram box and $9.95 for a 300ml bottle of syrup.
