KitKat has taken to the top shelf with a limited-edition range of bars infused with rum and priced at $20 each.
The high-end KitKats have been developed in partnership with rum distillery Brix. There are three variants: Mojito, Caramelised Pecan, and Spiced Christmas Pudding.
Brix Distillers director, James Christopher, describes rum and chocolate as “the perfect match” and having the opportunity to infuse Brix’s Sydney-crafted rums into the world-famous KitKat bar was “an absolute pleasure”.
The chocolates went on sale this week at the KitKat Chocolatory retail store in Sydney’s Mid City Centre, and on KitKat’s Australian website.
The Brix Mojito bar is made from creamy white chocolate infused with White rum, lime, grapefruit and mint, while the Caramelised Pecan bar features caramelised golden chocolate infused with Brix Gold rum, pecans, ginger and caramelised biscuit.
The third variant – the Spiced Christmas Pudding KitKat – reimagines the classic festive season dessert with spiced milk chocolate infused with Spiced rum, crumbled pudding, currants and macadamias.
