The No Nasties Project introduces palm oil-free Choc Hazelnut spread

Australian startup, The No Nasties Project has released a range of palm oil-free chocolate-hazelnut spreads coinciding with Palm Oil Free day observed on Tuesday (February 1).

The spread has 50-per-cent less sugar compared to other market-leading variants and is free from palm oil, Maltilol or anything artificial.

“We believe that small choices make a big impact such as choosing palm oil-free products in the supermarket,” said David Andrew, founder and CEO of the brand.  “It’s our duty as global citizens to address the issues that we have created for the world.”

Deforestation caused by palm oil plantations causes 10 per cent of manmade CO2 greenhouse gas emissions.

The brand is serious about reducing sugar consumption in all Australian diets and aims to remove over 500 tons of sugar per year through Project 500.

No Nasties Project’s new Choc Hazelnut Spread is available from Woolworths and Coles nationally.
