Kimberly-Clark takes sustainability route with reusable swimming nappies

(Source: Facebook)

Disposable nappy brand Huggies has launched Little Swimmers reusable swimming nappies in a bid to reduce the number of nappies ending in landfills.

Kimberly-Clark MD, Belinda Driscoll, said that the parent company of Huggies understands that the launch is a ‘key step’ in its sustainability journey.

“We know Australian parents are on the lookout for more economical and sustainable solutions, and with Huggies new swim nappies we can help more Australian parents reduce their waste to landfill by using swim pants that can be reused again and again,” said Driscoll.

The nappies can be washed and reused repeatedly resulting in less post-life waste. They are designed to provide a comfortable yet secure fit to prevent any solid accidents that may occur in the water. They also come with a range of designs.

“We have a responsibility to protect our world’s natural systems and reduce our environmental footprint. For us, it’s just as essential to helping people live a better life,” she added.

The nappies were launched in the summer and are currently available online and in-store at select Woolworths retailers.
