Ex-servicemen’s coffee brand launches new range

Australian Veteran-owned coffee startup brand Twentyfive Four has unveiled a new ‘Gunfire’ coffee range to coincide with Anzac Day.

The cold-pressed ready-to-drink coffee is made from single-origin coffee beans from Colombia which are aged in rum and whiskey barrels. It has no added sugar and is free from preservatives.

The term ‘Gunfire’ comes from an Anzac tradition that involves drinking tea or coffee laced with rum, often enjoyed by troops before entering battle. It is also consumed as a toast to lost comrades before the dawn of April 25.

“As a brand, we not only wanted to brew high-quality and delicious coffee products but also operate in a way that would inspire conversation about the role of our veterans and the challenges they face as they return to life after service,” said Kyle Arnold, former Australian Navy clearance diver and founder of Twentyfive Four.

“With 13 of the founding team veterans, we had the vision to honour the significance of Anzac past, present and future, by creating a product that both modernised the coffee drinking experience while paying homage to our veterans and the important role coffee has played in the history of our armed forces,” he said.
