Forbidden Foods expands into shelf-stable alt-meats

(Source: Supplied)

Forbidden Foods has launched its long-shelf range of plant-based alt-meat, Sensory Mill.

Focusing on offering a convenient way to pursue plant-based products, the range allows customers to substitute meat in all their normal cooking recipes, rather than just being a pre-made meat substitute product, according to the company.

The range features three variants – chicken, pork and beef. They are dry and rehydratable, allowing storage in an ambient environment on shelves or in pantries for up to two years. Refrigeration is not required.

Forbidden Foods reports that its plant-based alt-meat provides 20g of protein per serve and is rich in iron. The product is free from gluten, soy and GMOs.

Sensory Mill is available through Forbidden Foods’ e-commerce store and selected supermarkets.
