Australian craft gin brand Four Pillars has appointed David Hogan as its new director of Global Travel Retail (GTR).

Hogan has worked with Bacardi Martini for 14 years and was most recently its GTR regional manager for Asia-Pacific markets. He is also credited for the “tremendous growth and activations” of Bacardi’s Bombay Sapphire brand in key airports across the Pacific region.

Stuart Gregor, co-founder and trade director at Four Pillars, said Hogan’s expertise will benefit the brand’s ambitions of being one of the Top 10 gin brands in the world.

“In my previous role I saw how fast the brand is growing and how much Australians really love Four Pillars,” said Hogan. “While we are inevitably focused on growth outside our borders it is also especially exciting to see the tender for our home airport continuing at a pace and whoever wins that tender will have a real partner in Four Pillars moving forward.”

Commencing Monday, Hogan will look after Four Pillars’ international trade which now covers more than 30 markets.

Established in 2013, Four Pillars Gin is located in Healesville, Yarra Valley on the outskirts of Melbourne. The company also operates a laboratory in Sydney’s Surry Hills.
